Oprah & Bob’s Best Life Challenge
Posted by madamlight on January 14, 2008
Yes, today is a trainer day, but when I heard Oprah was doing a special show with Bob Green – I decided a nice walk on the treadmill was in order. After all, sitting in the lazy boy would make the entire hour a waste. One that I didn’t work anyway. And exercise is the only thing to pull me from my desk.
So, instead of a 30 minute sprint/walk/jog, I went for an hour. I didn’t want to miss a thing. 4.22 miles clocked in.
Anyhoo, The Best Life Challenge is something that Oprah & Bob are throwing at America. We are the fattest country and they have high hopes of changing this in 2008. With a goal set at 1 million people to acquire a happy, healthier life style.
Today’s show kicked off in the nations FATTEST STATE – MISSISSIPPI. Mississippi is where 1 in 3 people are overweight. Wow!
Lifes are changing and they are continuing this journey throughout the year. Check out the site to see if you can see them live.
Oh, this is so exciting. I guess they did this last year – I missed it.
Don’t worry, even after almost a complete hour watching the show on the treadmill, I also did the eliptical and bike at the trainer – before my 1 hour workout with the trainer.

Hi Linda,
I know it is hard, but you can do it. They may sound cliche, but is true beyond measure. Maybe you are making it too hard on yourself. Break apart the way you wish your life to be and change only one thing at a time or as many as you can maintain at once.
Small changes make big changes:
switch to whole grain bread Opt for water, drink it all the timeNo popGet moving, a walk to start and just keep goingAdd weights – while watching t.v. lift some free weights, building more calories with muscles
